ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Devon Dampier's time in the transfer portal was short lived. Less than a week after announcing he would not be returning to UNM, the quarterback revealed that he is transferring to Utah.
In his first and only season as a full-time starter, Dampier cemented himself as one of the top dual-threat players in the country. The first-team All-Mountain West quarterback finished the regular season sixth nationally with 3,934 yards of total offense (2,768 passing, 1,166 rushing). He also accounted for 31 total touchdowns.
Dampier is now reunited with offensive coordinate Jason Beck in Utah. Beck was previously named the Utes OC last week.
