Dec 11, 2024
K-pop girl group Babymonster, which only debuted in April, will bring its Hello Monsters tour to the United States in early 2025 with a pair of shows including one at the Kia Forum in Inglewood on March 2.
The second U.S. debut includes a stop at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Feb. 28.
Babymonster released its debut EP “Babymons7er” on April 1, soon after earning recognition as one of Billboard’s most promising K-pop rookies of 2024. Its first full-length album, “Drip,” arrived on Nov. 1.
The group was formed by the K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, whose stable of artists also includes Blackpink, which headlined Coachella in 2023, and 2NE1, superstars from a decade ago who reunited this year.
The seven members of Babymonster – Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita – all are in their late teens except for Ruka who is 22. Three members are South Korean, two are Japanese and two are Thai. They sing and rap in Korean, English and Japanese.
The group’s first-ever world tour begins in Seoul, South Korea on Jan. 25-26.
Tickets for the shows go on sale at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Livenation.com.
