The soaking, wind-driven rain is finally coming to and end across the area. We tallied 2-4.5″ of rain across the area, with the biggest numbers coming in Rhode Island. T.F. Green saw it’s rainiest day of the entire year, with four and a third inches as of this article! Winds peaked during the late afternoon and early evening Thursday, reaching 45-60 MPH for most of the area. While weakening, it will remain blustery through the night and right into Thursday. Seas will also remain quite choppy with the windy weather as well. Check with ferry carriers for any delays or cancellations Thursday. Much colder air comes plunging in behind this storm, and with the continued windy weather it will feel drastically colder. Highs will be in the 40s, but wind chills the 20s and 30s! Sunshine will be abundant for the end of the week, but frigid air remains all the way through Sunday morning. Clouds will begin to return Sunday afternoon and temperatures will rise. We are looking at mild days both Monday and Tuesday with rain returning to the forecast. Categories: News, Weather Forecast
