MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is accused of trying to blackmail another man with a sex video. Police say Steven Porchet, 65, sent videos of himself having sex with the victim's ex-wife via a text message and threatened to send the videos to the school of the victim's grandchild.The victim said Porchet demanded $20,000 in Bitcoins, a currency that can't be tracked. Steve Porchet (SCSO) Investigators said Porchet gave the victim a deadline, but instead, the victim contacted police. The victim said he had known Porchet for two years, and was able to pick him out of a photo lineup as the person who had sent him the explicit videos. Porchet is charged with extortion and unlawful exposure. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
