Police in Wisconsin respond to reports of gun at high school during basketball game

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Multiple police officers responded to Madison East High School on Monday night after reports of a disturbance involving a gun.
According to the Madison Police Department, officers were dispatched to the school at around 6:15 p.m. following initial reports that a student had a gun in the parking lot and may have entered the building.

Police formed a perimeter and cleared the school, reviewing security video that revealed the student in question had left the premises.

Authorities determined there was no immediate threat and those in the school were allowed to return. The incident occurred as a basketball game was taking place at East High School, with two Madison police officers already working the event.
