GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich joined Alex Galt, the city's Clean Energy Connector, and Mou Vang, the asset manager for the Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corporation, for a press conference to highlight the city's progress in advancing clean energy initiatives. The event marked two significant milestones for the city. The first was the launch of Energize Green Bay, a new initiative aimed at expanding clean energy access, improving energy efficiency and fostering sustainability throughout the city. Howe Community Resource Center in Green Bay celebrates inaugural graduation of leadership program The second milestone was the first anniversary of Green Bay's Clean Energy Plan, a year of successful implementation of the city's strategy to reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy and create a more sustainable future for the city. The city also announced its designation as a SolSmart Silver Community, recognizing Green Bay's efforts to streamline solar energy development and support solar energy businesses and residents.
