Fort Jackson, SC (WOLO) — The Army’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is hoping someone recognizes a man officials believe to be involved in an attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure. According to investigators, the incident was reported to have happened November 24, 2024 near the Single Solider Barracks on the military post located at 2453 Meuse Argonne Avenue. Wednesday the division announced a $5 thousand dollar reward now being offered for new leads in the ongoing investigation.
Authorities say the unknown man seen in the sketch provided by CID may have committed a similar offense in the same area in the last year. The agency asks anyone who has “credible” information about who the suspect is, or the alleged incident itself is urged to contact the Army CID Fort Jackson Resident Agency Office by calling (808)223-8507. You can also contact Crime Stoppers at (254)526-8477 or by emailing the agency at the link provided HERE.
The Army wants to remind members of the public who may come forward with information, that they retain the option to award whatever portion of the $5 thousand dollars being offered based on the nature of the tip, whether or not there are multiple people bringing details forward, and other set criteria. As for military and federal employees who may know something about the attempted assault payouts of the reward will be determined based on “their exceptional actions” regarding the facts being provided.
