GoFundMe created for man killed in crash in Oildale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A GoFundMe has been created for a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Oildale area Tuesday night.
According to the GoFundMe Page, the victim of the crash was identified as Brent Allen Evans, 38, and the proceeds raised in the GoFundFundMe will go toward his family and burial.
Evans was a father, brother and son, according to the GoFundMe Page.

The crash was reported Tuesday around 7:30 p.m., in the area of Airport Drive near Washington Avenue.
“A witness had reported that the pedestrian was crossing the roadway and possibly fell down in the roadway, and as he was getting up a Honda sedan traveling northbound in the number two lane at Airport Dr., at approximately 40 miles per hour, unfortunately struck the pedestrian,” CHP Sgt. Curtis Rhoades said.

The Kern County Coroner's Office has not identified the victim.
