Person to be evaluated after kitchen fire at home in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- DC Fire and EMS said a person was transported to the hospital to be evaluated after a kitchen fire in Northeast D.C. on Wednesday afternoon.
Crews said they were dispatched to the 600 block of 10th St for a basement kitchen fire.

First responders said the fire was extinguished and there was no extension above in the 3-story building.
An air unit was requested.
The incident is under control and there were no displacements.
