MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Heavy fog caused a crash in Merced County, leaving two vehicles disabled Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP says they responded to a traffic collision on Santa Fe Avenue at Eucalyptus Avenue involving heavy fog.
Officers say a driver was making a left turn onto Eucalyptus Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle traveling on Santa Fe Avenue. The collision left both vehicles disabled in the roadway, but CHP said no serious injuries or additional collisions were reported.
They add the incident could have been worse given the limited visibility, which is why officers encourage drivers to pay attention and be patient when driving in heavy fog.
