Park City Council to review community feedback on Main Street Area Plan

Park City Council will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Agenda highlights include the following items: Amendments to accessory uses in Master Planned Developments Code The council will review a comprehensive update to the Land Management Code that prescribes allowable accessory uses within commercial, residential and resort Master Planned Developments. The Planning Commission forwarded thee changes to the council with a unanimously positive recommendation. Council will review and discuss the changes, hold a public hearing and consider adopting the amendments. Main Street Area Plan update Council will receive an update to the Main Street Area Plan project, particularly the feedback from a Nov. 12 community open house. The item is a staff communication report, and no discussion is expected. Feedback included support for a car-lite design on Main Street, split support for parking in the area, support for a roundabout at Main Street and Swede Alley, mixed view on one-way traffic, concern over construction and more. Revised MARC court schedule The Recreation team will provide an updated plan for court allocation for tennis and pickleball as requested by the Council. This item is also a staff communication report, no discussion is expected. According to the report, the PC MARC will implement the schedule for the tennis bubble shown below. 2024-25 PC Marc Bubble play schedule Amendments to construction stormwater regulations The Public Utilities team will brief the council on proposed changes to state law around stormwater runoff from construction sites. The council will discuss, hold a public hearing and consider adopting the adjustments. Eight new pieces of artwork selected for the library study rooms Council will consider the Public Art Advisory Board’s eight selected pieces of artwork to be installed in the Park City Library’s Study Rooms. The results of a Call for Artists earlier this year, acquisition of artwork requires City Council review and approval.
