As a result, the Chariho Regional School District has canceled all after-school activities on Wednesday.
Some individual schools, including Prout, Gordon and Pennfield, postponed planned activities, while the Providence School Board meeting was also rescheduled.
Additionally, Westerly Senior Citizens Center canceled bingo, and there was no evening Bible study at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Providence.
