Two Larcenies Reported Tuesday in Southeast Lincoln

Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 11)–Two larceny from auto cases were reported to Lincoln Police on Tuesday.
One case reported around 7pm Tuesday happened in the area of 88th and Pine Lake Road, where an unmarked Nebraska State Patrol vehicle parked in front of a trooper’s home had been rummaged through. Lincoln Police Public Information manager Erika Thomas says the trooper noticed the glovebox was open. Officers soon arrived and searched the vehicle, noticing an AED worth $1,500 was missing. Various law enforcement gear was missing for a $2,000 loss. Among the other items missing include two AR-15 magazines, a flashlight, soft body armor, heavy plate carrier vest, three pairs of eyeglasses and a gym bag that had cold weather gear. No gun was taken.
Another larceny from auto case, this one reported around 2pm Tuesday in the area of 47th and LaSalle. The victim told Lincoln Police on Tuesday afternoon he left his truck unlocked overnight. Thomas says the victim’s green and brown 9mm handgun was missing, along with two magazines full of ammunition, with a total estimated value of $650.
