Expect sunny skies in Piedmont Triad on Thursday

(WGHP) -- After a mild and rainy start to Wednesday, temperatures have fallen quickly behind the cold front this afternoon. Skies will continue to clear into the evening hours with temperatures in the 30s by 6 PM. Winds will remain gusty this evening with winds up to 25 mph. The wind will make temperatures feel like the upper 20s and low 30s this evening.
Overnight skies will be clear and temperatures will fall into the upper 20s by Thursday morning with feels like temperatures in the low to mid 20s. That means the coat and winter hats will be needed at the bus stop in the morning!
Skies will be sunny on Thursday with highs in the upper 40s. Friday will be a similar day however clouds will return to end the week with mostly cloudy skies, morning temperatures in the upper 20s an highs in the upper 40s.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with morning temperatures in the low 30s and highs reaching the upper 40s. By Saturday night, isolated showers will be possible with scattered showers returning into Sunday.
A 50% chance for scattered showers on Sunday with temperatures in the mid 30s in the morning and highs in the upper 40s. Lingering showers will be possible overnight Sunday into Monday.
Stray showers can't be ruled out to start next week however the chance for rain is only 20%. Temperatures will be in the low 40s in the morning with highs reaching the upper 50s. The mild weather continues into Tuesday with temperatures in the mid 40s in the morning and highs in the upper 50s. Stray showers remain possible with a 20% chance for rain.
