GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — Green Bay Metro firefighters and members of Central Church, along with Santa Claus, paid a visit to HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital, bringing holiday cheer and presents to patients. The visit provided a unique opportunity for patients to interact with firefighters, see some of their gear up close, and enjoy a cheerful surprise from Santa himself. Local 141, hand-delivered gifts collected by Central Church directly to children in their hospital rooms. “It’s a time of year where children and families are enjoying the holiday spirit from the comfort of their own homes. St. Vincent’s and the involved members of the community want to bring the festive spirit to patients who are not fortunate to enjoy that comfort,” said Lieutenant Shauna Walsh, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department's public information officer. The gifts were thoughtfully organized and picked out for each individual patient by Central Church to ensure a positive and personalized experience. The annual visit is more than just a festive tradition.
