(WFRV) - A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper in western Wisconsin was sent to a hospital following a crash with a commercial vehicle. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, on December 9 around 10 p.m., a driver of a commercial vehicle hit a Wisconsin State Patrol cruiser. The release says the trooper was inside the cruiser at the time of the crash. He was reportedly helping an ongoing crash investigation. Officials say the incident happened on Interstate 94 near WIS-21 in Monroe County. Suspect arrested in connection to vehicle burglaries in Calumet County The driver of the commercial vehicle allegedly did not move over for a lane closure. There reportedly were cones and flares warning of the lane closure. Authorities say the trooper is hospitalized but is in stable condition. The driver of the commercial vehicle reportedly did not have any injuries. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash, according to the release.
