Dec 11, 2024
(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — El Paso County's Board of County Commissioners has approved funding to construct a new Sheriff's substation in the Falcon area of unincorporated El Paso County to serve the eastern and northern parts of the county.
Due to the rapid growth of the Pikes Peak region in recent years, calls for service in some areas of the county have increased by over 50%, creating the necessity for the new substation to meet the growing demand.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, El Paso County issued a Formal Request for Proposal to identify a vendor to construct the substation. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. on Jan. 29. Vendors interested in participating in the proposal process can find more information here.

"This substation, the first of its kind for El Paso County, will have a significant impact on our growing community by increasing access to the Sheriff's Office for those we serve.”
