Around 11 a.m. on Dec. 10, Ridgecrest police investigators stopped by a room at the Super 8 Motel on South China Lake Boulevard to follow up on an earlier hit-and-run crash. Officials said Tab William Lewis, 63, refused to open the door or provide a statement about the crash.
