WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police said a man was in the hospital Wednesday after he was stabbed overnight on Benning Road in Southeast. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that around 4 a.m. on Dec. 11, officers were dispatched to a stabbing that happened on Benning Road and Minnesota Avenue. While investigating, first responders found a man conscious and breathing with injuries. Medics took him to the hospital for treatment. DC police investigate shooting on Benning Road in Southeast As the investigation continued, MPD said officers received a report for an 'injured person to the hospital." This stabbing comes less than 24 hours after a woman was shot in the 4600 block of Benning Road. D.C. police confirmed with DC News that the incidents are not connected.
