PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County are investigating after a pedestrian was killed during a hit-and-run on Wednesday morning. Details are limited, however, the Prince George's County Police Department said that around 6:10 a.m., officers were called to St. Barnabas Road near the outer loop of Interstate 495. Upon arrival, first responders found a woman lying in the road. She died at the scene. Prince George’s Community College chief of police arrested for alleged DUI resulting in ‘serious’ crash Police said the driver left the area, and investigators are working to determine what led to the collision. As of 7 a.m., all westbound lanes on St. Barnabas Road were closed between Brinkley Road and Virginia Avenue. PGPD encourages drivers to use alternative routes until the scene is cleared.
