Trenton man charged in Bucks County strip club homicide

A Trenton man faces homicide charges after a man he shot at a Morrisville strip club died from his injuries.
Pedro E. Rodriguez, 28, shot Mekhi Norman at The Border Gentlemen’s Club in Morrisville, Pennsylvania on South Pennsylvania Avenue on August 29. Norman died on September 6.
Norman was shot in the head, thigh, and torso while trying to help club staff during an altercation at the door. He did not know Rodriguez.
Rodriguez fled in an SUV with Kevin Perez, 21, also of Trenton. Rodriguez surrendered to police later that day. Perez faces charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment for attacking club staff before the shooting.
Rodriguez remains in Bucks County Correctional Facility. The charges against him include criminal homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, possession of an instrument of crime, and 17 counts of recklessly endangering another person. His arraignment is set for Friday.
The Middlesex County Medical Examiner ruled Norman’s death a homicide from complications of multiple gunshot injuries.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and Morrisville Borough Police Department investigated the case. Deputy District Attorney Thomas C. Gannon and Assistant District Attorney David O’Beirne will prosecute.
