JACKSON COUNTY (KSNT) - A man from South America was arrested Monday night after he allegedly fled from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reports on Dec. 11 that a deputy tried to pull over a Honda CRV for a traffic infraction around 9 p.m. on Dec. 9 in the area of 142nd and Highway 75. The driver refused to pull over and allegedly fled from law enforcement by heading north on Highway 75. A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper deployed a tire deflation device during the pursuit around 214th Road, bringing the chase to an end. The driver of the stolen vehicle, identified as a 37-year-old man from Honduras, was arrested on multiple charges including: Flee or attempt to elude a law enforcement officer. Possession of stolen property. Felony interference with a law enforcement officer. Operate a vehicle without a valid driver's license. Operate a vehicle with expired registration. Reckless driving. Improper driving on a laned highway. Speed 110 mph in a 70 mph zone. No tail lamps when required. Improper turn signal.
