Cerritos Center is taking it back to the 1990s with onenight concert by Dru Hill and All4One

The 1990s are making a comeback this weekend as two R&B superstars hit the stage at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
Known for smooth love jams like “I Swear,” “I Can Love You Like That,” and “So Much in Love,” Grammy-winning quartet All-4-One, alongside Baltimore-born group Dru Hill, whose hits include soulful pop tunes like “Tell Me,” and “In My Bed,” will be performing a one night show Dec. 14 dubbed ’90s R&B Rewind.
“I think this gives people a chance to be a kid again. We’ve all grown up and have adult responsibilities but these shows take you back to a fun time when we didn’t have to worry about so many adult things,” said Delious Kennedy, lead singer for All-4-One.
Besides Kennedy the band, which formed in the early ’90s and won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group, also consists of original members Jamie Jones, Alfred Nevarez and Tony Borowiak. After more than 30 years in the business the group stays busy on nostalgic tours taking fans back in time as they perform in nostalgic concerts all over the country as part of tours like the long-running “I Love the 90’s”
In Cerritos the group will perform original music as well as songs by other artists who defined the ’90s. While Kennedy wanted to keep that setlist a surprise for fans, he did say people can expect to hear Montel Jordan’s “This is How We Do It,” as well as Bell Biv DeVo’s mega-hit song “Poison.”
“It’s a medley of songs so we don’t want to give away the whole medley, but yeah, ‘Poison,’ I mean come on,” he said.
The members have also done various solo projects and not all involve music. In 2016 Kennedy launched his “Flashback Tonight” talk show on YouTube which featured interviews with celebrities from the ’80s and ’90s and 15 years ago he co-founded the Catalina Film Festival.
But the music always brings the band back together to perform hits from an unforgettable era.
“To me the ’90s was the last decade of great music,” Kennedy said.
