Temperatures are beginning to tumble today and the coldest air of the season so far is on the way this evening and Thursday. Late this afternoon bring isolated snow showers with more snow across the Michigan border and closer to Lake Michigan. Much colder this afternoon with highs just above freezing Another potent blast of cold air comes in this afternoon with snow showers around a clipper-type front increasing wind gusts up to 30 mph. No significant accumulation is expected. A few snow showers are possible with a front moving through the area early this evening Winds will remain gusty this evening as skies clear after midnight as temperatures plummet into the lower teens bringing wind chills down to make it feel like it's below zero. Wind chills will be below zero early Thursday morning Mother Nature will slap you in the face with bitterly cold air and wind chills below zero on Thursday morning it doesn't get much better during the afternoon with high temperatures in the upper teens. Thursday night temperatures stay bitterly cold as winds decrease and low temperatures fall into the lower teens. The arctic air pulls out of the air quickly Friday with temperatures recovering to around freezing by late afternoon. Temperatures will be much warmer over the weekend with highs in the 40s and rain showers. It will be mild to begin next week with temperatures in the lower 50s Monday falling into the 40s through the middle next week.
