CHARLOTTE, NC – Wells Fargo Championship officials announced Wednesday that a record $5.9 million was raised for charity donations from this year’s tournament at Quail Hollow Club and previous net reserves. According to a news release, from 2003 through 2024, the Wells Fargo Championship raised more than $36 million and created awareness for organizations and charitable foundations in three regions in which it was staged—Charlotte, Wilmington, and the Washington, DC area. Organizations include Levine Children’s Hospital, First Tee of Greater Charlotte, Teach for America, John Crosland School, Carolina Youth Coalition, CMS Foundation, Augustine Literacy Project, Heart Math Tutoring, Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte, Promising Pages, Children of First Responders Rotary Golf Classic, Young Black Leadership Alliance, Discovery Place Nature Museum Project and YMCA of Greater Charlotte.  Specifically, $1 million will be donated to Hurricane Helene Relief efforts in Western North Carolina via Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County, and Manna Food Bank. This year’s May event marked the final year of the Wells Fargo Championship.
