BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Lake Isabella woman accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine when she crashed into another vehicle, killing its driver, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next month.
Danielle Alinna Debski, 24, is charged with five felonies -- including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. She's free on $100,000 bail.
A wrongful death lawsuit filed against Debski identified the victim as Jesus Medina and said the crash happened Sept. 5, 2022, on Stine Road north of Pacheco Road.
According to a probable cause declaration, Debski was driving north on Stine Road when she hit a vehicle entering the roadway from a private parking lot.
Debski was traveling about 77 mph -- the posted speed limit is 45 mph -- and "made no attempt to slow prior to the collision," according to the declaration filed by Bakersfield police.
Medina died and a passenger in Debski's vehicle was injured, the document said.
Debski's blood-alcohol content was 0.13% and she tested positive for meth, according to the declaration.
