A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 3:45 a.m. valid from 7 p.m. until Friday 1 p.m. for Oneida County."Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, with locally up to 6 inches across the far northwestern tip of Oneida County," states the weather service. "Rain will change to lake effect snow this evening. While the heaviest snow will likely remain north of the region across the Tug Hill, accumulating lake effect snow is expected to reach northern Oneida County at times."
