Valve leak impacts customers, traffic in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) -- Emergency crews are working to repair a valve leak that is impacting about 100 customers in Arlington.
The Arlington Department of Environmental Services said on Dec. 4 that an eight-inch water valve began leaking at S Glebe Road and 5th Street S. This is near a high-rise building.

The department said that about 100 customers in the area may be affected and repairs are expected to be completed by 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
As crews continue working on the valve, traffic will be diverted around the area.
This is the second valve leak reported in Arlington since Tuesday.
