Beached whale in Cape May Point is euthanized after wildlife officials deem it had low chance of survival

A beached whale found at Sunset Beach in Cape May Point on Tuesday was euthanized by wildlife officials, who determined the marine mammal had a low chance of survival in the wild. Whale stranding incidents have been down along the New Jersey coast this year, according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine.
