GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Minority-owned companies in Georgetown County can apply for a special 10-week program designed to help their businesses be successful. The Minority Business Accelerator Program will take place every other Tuesday beginning January 14 through May 2025. You have until lunchtime on Thursday to apply. It’s a free program that features business development sessions in management and legal structure, marketing, finance, customer service, and business plans. County leaders say the innovative program is for minority, veteran, and women entrepreneurs who are focused on doing business in the county. Participants will pitch their business plans and could receive a $5,000 business development grant.
