BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County workers and union members rallied outside of the county administrative building calling yet again for a better contract. Dozens of people wearing purple shirts lined up holding signs, giving speeches outside the county administrative building just before the board of supervisors meeting Tuesday morning. Fox Theater to screen ‘The Polar Express’ The SEIU union has been fighting this battle since June, and still does not like the county's offer. The cause has even drawn the attention of social justice legend Dolores Huerta. Stand together we will win, Si Se Puede," Huerta said. A Chief Administrative Officer highlighted the most recent contract offer, which includes a 3% raise at the meeting. That triggered chanting union members to storm out of the building.
