FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Associated Press announced Democrat Adam Gray as the winner of California's 13th Congressional District race Tuesday with approximately 200 votes separating the two candidates. The 13th Congressional District race was the last race in California to be called by AP. Gray was competing against Republican John Duarte in a close race with fewer than 200 votes apart between candidates as of Nov. 27. AP announced Gray's victory around 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday. Gray had 105,554 votes, while Duarte had 105,367, representing just a 187-vote difference. The California 13th Congressional District contains parts of Fresno, Madera, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties. The Associated Press contributed to this article.
