ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Monroe County leaders announced Tuesday that Winterfest will return next year. It's scheduled to run Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mendon Ponds Park. The festival will be free to attend for folks of all ages, according to County Executive Adam Bello. Food and beverages will be available to consume. Tree lightings and holiday events happening around Rochester! New this year: The Winterfest Hot Cocoa Races, which will be hosted by Fleet Feet and YellowJacket Racing. The races, which kick off at 10 a.m. prior to the festival, are expected to include a trail 5k, road 5k and a children's race. To learn more about the races or register, click here.
