Two Virginia men sentenced for trafficking meth, machineguns
Dec 03, 2024
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Caroline County man and a Fredericksburg man were sentenced to a combined 15 years and one month in federal prison after trafficking methamphetamine and machineguns.
The two men -- 36-year-old Damien Jahon Reynolds of Caroline County and 26-year-old Trey Wright of Fredericksburg -- were hit with these drug-related charges after an attempted sale in late 2023, according to a Dec. 3 press release from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
On Dec. 20, 2023, Reynolds and Wright sold what they called "ecstasy" pills -- later found to be methamphetamine -- as well as 12 machinegun conversion devices and two "privately made firearms" equipped with machinegun conversion devices, according to court documents.
This sale was made to an undercover special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
