Bank investigators said the checks were mailed to companies and were intercepted or stolen at an unknown location from the USPS and altered.
The investigator said Hunt promised to repay the money but broke off all communication with the credit union. FedEx recovered $1,685.90 and suffered a loss of $9,202.47.
Detectives said Hunt claimed she paid someone she found online to deposit the bad checks into her Federal Express Credit Union account. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
