Mom suffering grade 4 tumor could use extra holiday help

HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A laulima family was devastated by a diagnosis eight months ago. In March of this year, the mother of an eight-year-old girl and six-year-old boy was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumor.

Grade four is the most aggressive and serious kind of tumor. Doctors said the average life expectancy is one to one and a half years. This mother and wife is only 37-years-old.
She has undergone biopsies, brain surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
4 keiki, mom in need of laulima to start over in new home
Mom can't work and continues treatment. Her husband has arranged to work from home to take care of her and their children.
The loss of one income and piling medical bills mean this family could use financial help while also providing a few gifts for their keiki this holiday season.
Toys for playing outside would be wonderful.
For their son, a bicycle, scooter or jump rope. He loves swimming, reading "Dog Man" and he wants to learn the ukulele.
Their daughter would love a bicycle too. She loves ballet, swimming, dolls, a dollhouse and reading princess stories.
Dad said household cleaning items and items that would help to make it comfortable for mom. He could also use work out clothes as he needs to stay healthy for his family.
For mom, comfortable clothes, games and art supplies for indoor activities she can do with her keiki.
