FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)— In honor of Giving Tuesday, a local organization is doing its part to raise money for a worthy cause.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana (RMHC) held their second annual Giving Brewsday at The Hoppy Gnome.
Guest could come in and get a pint of one of the classic brews the restaurant offers or try the special RMHC brew called Ronald's Red Nose Amber.
Guest could also purchase tickets to enter a raffle and win various different prices.
CEO Jenifer Veatch said this event is so meaningful for the foundation because it gives them the unique chance to connect directly with their donors.
"Tonight, is really about getting face to face with our donors, not just to see them, not just to give a gift, but it's for us to thank our donors that support us in a more casual, non-event environment," Veatch said.
Proceeds from Tuesday's event directly benefited local families with hospitalized children through the Ronald Mcdonald House Charities.
Organizers were able to raise over $20,000.
