ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – At Kirtland Airforce Base, the last HH-60G Pave Hawk took to the air for a final time on Tuesday, December 3. This is the last of the aircraft at the base after several had been in service at KAFB since the 1980's. We've been operating out here for over 35 years with this aircraft. We've rescued 40 people in New Mexico with this aircraft type, trained hundreds of students in combat search and rescue. And we're excited to move on to the HH-60W going forward," Pilot/Assistant Director of Operations, 512 Rescue Squadron Scott Loney said. The helicopter is flying to an aircraft boneyard in Arizona.
