NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — There's a new skatepark next to the basketball court at the Chafee Boulevard Recreation Complex in Newport. Friends of the Newport Skatepark announced the opening of the park on Nov. 27. In a social media post on Monday, the city said the park is "already getting a TON of use!" The city said anyone who would like to check out the new attraction should park on the street and not at the East Bay Family Health Care center nearby.
