University of Hawai‘i cornerback Cam Stone was named to the All-Mountain West Football First Team on Tuesday, the lone Rainbow Warrior to earn first-team honors following a standout senior season. Stone, a native of Angleton, Texas, started all 12 games for Hawai‘i and was a key contributor on defense. He led the team with two interceptions and eight pass breakups while recording 38 tackles, including 3.0 for loss, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick. Stone, rated among the nation’s top cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus, capped his collegiate career as one of the conference’s most dynamic defenders. On Sunday, Stone was selected the Alec Waterhouse Most Valuable Player award winner for 2024 at the UH Football team banquet. In total, six UH players earned recognition from the Mountain West. Defensive lineman Elijah Robinson, defensive backs Peter Manuma and Elijah Palmer, punter Lucas Borrow, and offensive lineman Ka‘ena DeCambra were all named honorable mentions. The all-conference teams were selected by a panel of media members and the league’s 12 head coaches, recognizing top performers from across the Mountain West.
