MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - A long-term drug investigation in Milwaukee led authorities to a storage locker containing significant quantities of narcotics and several firearms, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. In late October, investigators with the Milwaukee Police Department’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) and Special Investigations Division (SID) identified the storage locker on Milwaukee’s northwest side as part of the investigation. How long can you leave a political sign up after the election in Wisconsin? A drug detection K9 assigned to HIDTA alerted authorities to the presence of illegal drugs, prompting a search warrant. Inside the storage locker, officials discovered over six pounds of cocaine, more than 17 pounds of an unknown white substance undergoing testing at the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, and five firearms. A subsequent warrant executed at the suspect's residence uncovered an additional two pounds of cocaine and 90 grams of heroin. The suspect has been arrested, but their identity has not been released. Two people arrested after 9 crack pipes, 11 push rods, and more found during traffic stop in Fond du Lac "Great job getting these illegal and harmful substances off of our streets and keeping our community safe, HIDTA and SID," the Sheriff’s Office stated in a social media post.
