(CNN)– If you drive a general motors truck then you need to listen up. The auto manufacturer is recalling over 132 thousand trucks due to an issue with the tailgate. According to the recall notice water can get in the tailgate causing its electronic-gate-release switch to short circuit. That can cause the tailgate to unlatch while the truck is in park. The recall affects certain models of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra. Owners will be notified by mail in mid-January. They can take their vehicles to a dealer for a free fix.
