Central Ohio Weather and Radar QUICK WEATHER FORECAST: Tonight: Partly cloudy, breezy, low 23 Wednesday: Breezy, few pm flurries, cold showers, high 40 Thursday: Early AM snow showers, high 27 Friday: Mostly sunny, high 32 Saturday: Mostly sunny, high 38 FORECAST DISCUSSION: Good Tuesday Evening, It has been a slightly brighter day today, with temps getting back to freezing for the first time this month, and since last Friday. The normal for today is 45°, so this is well below normal for this time of the year. Tonight will be partly cloudy, but not quite as cold, with lows dropping to the lower 20s. Expect clouds to increase quickly on Wednesday with a few afternoon flurries, before the precip type changes to mainly just cold rain showers, as temps will warm to around 40. Temps will remain "milder" for a few hours past sunset, and then will begin to fall, allowing precip type to switch back to light snow showers. Not a lot of snow is expected, but the bigger issue could be blowing snow showers, which will reduce visibility, mainly overnight. While not a lot of snow is expected, the temps being as cold as they have been, should allow for some very minor to light accumulations of snow by Thursday morning, mostly under an inch. However, snow showers should continue for the first few hours on Thursday, and winds will be whipping up. Temps will slowly climb to the upper 20s with sunshine returning later. The biggest talker on Thursday may end up being the wind chills in the single digits out the door in the morning. Once we get to Friday, mostly clear skies will give us lows in the teens, and highs back near freezing. Saturday will be a bit warmer, as we will have mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s. Temps will actually push back above normal for the 2nd half of the weekend with highs in the upper 40s as clouds increase late. For Monday, a large scale system will develop to our northwest, and will drag warm, moist air across our area. This will lead to likely rain to start the work/school week, with highs in the lower to mid 50s. We will stay in the lower 50s on Tuesday with rain showers expected again ahead of the cold front. Overnight lows will remain quite warm during this time, likely near/slightly above our normal afternoon highs. This will allow for only wet weather to be the concern early next week. -Dave
