Part of Hwy 33 in Fresno County to close for 55 hours

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A section of Highway 33 in Firebaugh is scheduled to close for 55 hours, according to California's Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The closure will affect southbound Highway 33 in part of Firebaugh for the Firebaugh Highway 33 Rehabilitation Project, which will remove and replace existing asphalt pavement, officials said.
Caltrans says the closure will begin on Dec. 4 beginning at 6 a.m. until Friday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. The closure will extend from 12th Street to Saipan Avenue. Southbound traffic will be directed along northbound lanes using one-way reversing traffic control during closure times.
The announcement was made from Caltrans along with BAY CITIES PAVING & GRADIN, INC.
