EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Sunland Park Fire joined with Dona Ana County Fire Rescue to battle what they are called a large brush fire on Monday, Dec. 2 off New Mexico Highway 28 in La Union. The fire is under control but is still smoldering, Sunland Park Fire said. There were no injuries and no buildings were involved, according to SPFD. The call came in around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
