SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- It's December which means Santa Claus is back in town! For many families, capturing a photo with Santa is a beloved holiday tradition and a way to help children believe in the magic of Christmas. Fortunately, Santa will be visiting various locations throughout San Diego County before he heads back to the North Pole. Below is a list of some places offering photos: Coastal Christmas The Del Mar Fairgrounds will transform into a winter wonderland featuring a holiday light trail, festive food and drinks and even igloo and fire pit reservations. Plus, Santa will be available for photos during the festival. The event runs Dec. 13-15, 20-23 and 26 at 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar. Holidays at the Del Along with an ice skating rink by the sea and a light show spectacular, Hotel del Coronado is offering a meet-and-greet with Santa under a 25-foot Christmas tree. Each reservation includes one printed 5"x7" photo with the opportunity to purchase more online. The photos with Santa take place Dec. 6-8, 13-15 and 18-24 on the Southpointe Lawn at Hotel del Coronado, 1500 Orange Ave. Wild Holidays at the Safari Park The San Diego Zoo Safari Park comes to life with a colorful light display, friendly characters and live entertainment for the holidays. Santa is joining in on the fun with some photo opportunities before he heads back to the North Pole. People can meet Santa at the Safari Base Camp from noon to 8 p.m. on Dec. 7-8, 14-15, 21-23, as well as 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and noon to 5 p.m. on Dec. 25 (Christmas Day). The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Rd. in Escondido. Westfield UTC Sleigh bells are ringing at Westfield UTC! Photos with Santa are being offered by SeaWorld San Diego until Dec. 24 with special events happening on select dates. Special events include Santa Cares (for families with special needs), Baby's First, Ugly Sweater Party and Pajama Party. Check the link above for specific dates and times. Santa can be found at 4545 La Jolla Village Dr., Suite E-25 in Palm Plaza. Westfield Plaza Bonita For those in the South Bay, Santa can be found at the Westfield Plaza Bonita mall near JCPenney until Dec. 24. Time slots vary depending on the date, so people are encouraged to make their reservations early. The Santa Cares event for individuals with special needs is also available on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The mall is at 3030 Plaza Bonita Rd., Suite 2075 in National City. Fashion Valley Santa is bringing a little holiday magic to the center of the Fashion Valley mall. Children with special needs and their families can also reserve a visit with Santa for a sensory-friendly experience on Sunday, Dec. 8.
