ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Deputies with the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office say a driver from Newark has died after striking a tree Thursday afternoon in the town of Conquest on Blass Road. Deputies say Arthur Wilferth, 49, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The single passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Crews from Cayuga County 911, New York State Police, the Cayuga County Coroner's Office, CIMVAC Ambulance, Conquest Fire Department, and Victory Fire Department responded to the scene.
