Santa Fe Police arrest duo for armed robbery; third suspect on the run

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Santa Fe Police Department said they arrested two armed robbery suspects after they fled from police on Thanksgiving Day.
Officers responded to the Speedway Convenience Store, located at 3900 Rodeo Road, in reference to a panic alarm around 11:02 a.m. Officers learned the business was robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect wearing a mask. The male fled the location in a silver Dodge Ram.

Officers located the Dodge Ram on Beckner Road and initiated a traffic stop near Wellness Way. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated, police said.
During the pursuit, the driver drove on the wrong side of the road, drove the vehicle into a yard, and crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked on the property, according to police.
The three suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers searched the area with a K9 team and quickly apprehended Mariah King, 24. Additional officers, including New Mexico State Police Officers, arrived to search for the other suspects. Geronimo Vigil, 37, of Santa Fe, was found hiding in a shed and was arrested.
The suspect remains at large, police said.
Vigil was charged with robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, receiving/transferring a stolen motor vehicle, resisting, evading, or obstructing a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property, tampering with evidence, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was also booked on three outstanding arrest warrants: two felony offenses and one misdemeanor.
King was charged with conspiracy (robbery) and resisting, evading, or obstructing a law enforcement officer.
