One person in custody after deadly shooting in SE OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — One person is dead and another is in custody after a Thanksgiving gathering took a violent turn in southeast Oklahoma City.
Just after 2 a.m., Oklahoma City Police responded to call about someone shooting into a home near Southeast 44th Street and Sunnylane Road.
When officers arrived, they found one victim who had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and later died.
Investigators spent the day collecting evidence, speaking to witnesses at the home and escorting others downtown to police headquarters downtown.
Police say one person has been arrested in connection to the shooting. Their identity has not been released, but police say they were born in 2000.
OKCPD says more arrests could follow as the investigation continues.

"It's just kind of scary because things happen around here. My daughter is afraid for me to live over here, but really that much hasn't happened since I've been living here," said Shelby Nuckols, a neighbor.
As for the motive, it's still unclear.
Police say around a dozen people were at the home for the gathering, another group arrived that wasn't invited and what happened next, ended in gunfire.
OKCPD believes this was an isolated event and that there is no threat to the public.
