(WFRV) - A 28-year-old Wisconsin man was sentenced to federal prison Tuesday for engaging in sexual acts with teenage girls in exchange for vapes, cigarettes, and food. Ulysses Keys, 28, of Milwaukee, was sentenced to 59 years in prison, 88 years of extended supervision, a lifetime on the sex offender registry, and fined $2,500 after a jury found him guilty of several counts related to the sexual assault of a child, according to a release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Child Protective Services called after search warrant in Waupun finds evidence of prescription med dealing, 2 arrested A Milwaukee County jury found Keys guilty of four counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of child exploitation, one count of repeated sexual assault of the same child, and three counts of possession of child pornography. “This sentence shows that those who commit heinous crimes against children face a long time behind bars,” Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul said. “Thank you to the investigators and prosecutors who worked to hold the defendant responsible for the serious crimes he was convicted of.” According to a criminal complaint, Keys communicated with several girls between the ages of 13 and 15 on Snapchat when he was 24 and 25. The complaint says Keys exchanged inappropriate photos with minors using the app. He also met with some of them and engaged in inappropriate acts in exchange for vapes, cigarettes, and fast food. Keys reportedly recorded several of these encounters. “I appreciate the investigative work of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators and the prosecution of this matter through jury trial by Assistant District Attorney Ken Olstinski,” Milwaukee County Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern said. “Their combined efforts secured a significant conviction that enhances the safety of our community.” Man rescued from roof, cat dies during Thanksgiving house fire in Chilton The case was investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Whitefish Bay Police Department. It was prosecuted by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
